We had a fantastic stay at this hostel! the staff at K'S House were friendly and always willing to help. the facilities were clean and well-maintained, including the comfortable capsule-style beds and the large, fully equipped kitchen. the common areas had a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, making it a great place to relax, especially when it was raining outside.
This was a special and enjoyable experience that we highly recommend. Cons: Nothing could have been better!

The room was spacious, with a great view and comfortable futon mattresses. the communal kitchen was clean and well-stocked, and we loved the black tea that was available. the staff were extremely nice and made our stay enjoyable. the hot spring on the lower floors was amazing, especially the outdoor one. the common area had a traditional Japanese style and was a great place to hang out with friends. a great experience!
Felt at ease, nothing to complain about.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a short 10-minute bus ride from Yumoto station. The room we stayed in was cozy and perfect for a group of four people, with comfortable Tatami and futon. The Onsen was incredibly relaxing and a great way to unwind. The lounge on the first floor was a nice bonus if you want to cook your own meals.
Felt like a home away from home, with the staff being super friendly and accommodating.

We stayed at K's House in Hakone and had a great experience. The private room was small but comfortable, with a toilet and sink. The hostel had a nice balcony and both indoor and outdoor onsens. After a day of exploring, relaxing in the onsen followed by sake on the balcony was a treat. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with a nice kitchen and comfy lounge area. The location was convenient, with a bus stop just a couple minutes away for easy access to nearby attractions. The friendly staff were also a plus.

I recently stayed at a guest house in Hakone and had a fantastic experience. The location was convenient, with a close proximity to a convenience store and easy access to town. The room had plenty of natural light, ample cupboard space, and a beautiful shower room with a window and bathtub. The communal space was cozy and had a Japanese-style table on the floor, which I really enjoyed. The outdoor area offered a lovely view of the hills. The price was reasonable, especially considering that the guest house had both indoor and outdoor onsens. The staff were friendly and even held onto my luggage before check-in so I could explore the area. I highly recommend this guest house.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊

The staff were really laidback and helpful, so it didn’t feel like a strict traditional Japanese run place. It was very comfortable. the room and facilities are well-maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful hostel 10 min walk from Hakone city centre. the dorms are in traditional Japanese style and the facilities were great, wonderful kitchen and a big common area/relax area. It also has its own private onsen which was a bonus! Seemed to be the only hostel in the area? the staff had very good English abilities! Loved it! Great hotel, we stayed in a traditional Japanese room. the bed was a roll-out futon, very comfortable. the staff at this place are wonderful, a member at check-in helped us put a plan together for exploring the area, detailing routes, transport, etc. which was incredibly helpful. You can also leave your bag before and after check-in which is so handy. I am a solo budget traveler and this place is a wonderful option if you want a hostel experience as well as an onsen experience in one. I stayed for one night and was able to have more than enough time in the provided onsen, socialize in the common areas, and go on a hike to Mt. Kintoki. They let me leave my luggage for free all day after checking out. the facilities are top tier and the staff is wonderful. Free coffee and tea are provided all day as well as jam and peanut butter in the morning. the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a convenient store nearby. the guesthouse is incredibly cozy and makes you feel like you're staying at a lodge in the mountains. I had intended to try out some of the other onsens in the area but didn't feel the need to after the experience here. Overall incredible stay. I would go back to Hakone just to get to stay here again. *I'd like to note to any other travelers that the onsens are only open from 4pm-2am.
Felt so much at home, no complaints whatsoever.

The double bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom and showers were clean and spacious. the hostel offers both indoor and outdoor gender-separated onsens, which are a great addition. the hostel is very clean and no shoes are allowed inside, making for a pleasant atmosphere. the facilities are top-tier, including a fully equipped kitchen and cozy common areas. the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are complimentary amenities such as free coffee, tea, and jam. the hostel also offers luggage storage for free, allowing for convenient exploration of the area. it is a wonderful option for solo budget travelers looking for a hostel experience combined with an onsen experience.
Felt almost like home, with nothing to complain about.

Great onsen and lounge area with beautiful mountain views. Very helpful and friendly staff.
The walk from the station was quite far and uphill, making it difficult to carry luggage.
